John D. Red Eagle, Principal Chief Osage Nation    The honorable John D. Red Eagle was inaugurated to the office of Principal Chief of the Osage Nation, which is a federally recognized and sovereign nation, on August 4, 2010.    Chief Red Eagle, a full blood Osage Indian, is endorsed by a majority of tribal elders and others.    The primary theme of the Chief's  administration is UNITY! Much needed unity among the Osage People and unity between the Osages and all residents of Osage County.
